CITIZEN JOURNALISM AS A CHANGING JOURNALISTIC APPROACH WITH THE TRANSITION FROM TRADITIONAL TO NEW MEDIA: A RESEARCH ON GENERATIONSKeywords: Yeni Medya,Yurtta? Gazetecili?i,Ku?aklar Abstract: There have also been changes in the media, which have been affected by technological developments on a daily basis. With this change, traditional media practices have left their place to new media practices. In this research, the citizen journalism that has been encountered with contemporary people are handled and the reflections of digital culture on the citizen journalism is discussed. The aim of the study is to show how the individuals who use new media technologies with the development of communication technologies are affected by citizen journalism approach by separating them according to generations and reflect this approach to generations. The research of this study is a survey conducted with people representing X, Y, and Z generations of 405 people selected from internet users. The responses of this survey study were analyzed by Mann Whitney and Kruskal Wallis methods. As a result of the data obtained in the study, the relationship between the generations was tried to be revealed with citizen journalism
