The Use of New Media in Foreign Language Teaching in the Framework of New Learning

Foreign language teaching is not just a process of learning a foreign language. It also means integrating a foreign culture. In this sense, materializing a realistic and viable foreign language teaching is important. Since we live in a global world influenced by diverse foreign languages, learning a foreign language plays an important role in everyday life. New technological developments in communication skills contributed significantly to foreign language learning. Especially information technologies are very effective in structuring, comprehending and diversifying foreign language courses. Today, the use of new media and the multimedia tools play an important and indispensable role in foreign language teaching. In this context, this article mainly aims at giving a general perspective to the development of new and different forms of teaching processes by utilizing information technologies and auxiliary multimedia resources in order to achieve the desired goals in foreign language teaching. In addition, the article gives information about the process of teaching German as a foreign language at schools in Turkey
