The Past and The Present of Feminist Movement in TurkeyKeywords: Toplumsal hareketler,Türkiye’de kad?n hareketleri,ü?üncü dalga feminist hareket,Feminizm Abstract: Social movements’ actors are individuals who come from ignoring and their main purpose is to make them visible in social life. In this context, the struggle of women against social exclusion due to their gender is a part of social movements. From the beginning of the 1900s, they began to receive the results of the women's struggles and gained equal rights on the legal level. In the 1970s, however, women realized that having a right does not mean the same as using it. Women's secondary positions in the social life were driven, the male-dominated society structure that had to change. The second-wave feminist movement has been driven by this motivation and has struggled against the masculine politics of women's bodies and their retirement. As it entered the 2000s, the third wave of feminist movement began. The main aim of this study is to take feminist movement in Turkey under the spotlight. For this purpose, firstly, the share of the women's movement will be investigated in the women's rights revolutions in the 1930s.
