Azerbaijan Enlightenment in The Direction of Hegemony and M. F. Akhundov’s Euro-centralism Problems

The artice describes the discussions on enlightment in Azerbaijan and Akhundov’s hypothesises, one of the most important representatives in this direction, about how hegemony modifies construction of philosophical foundation of Euro-centralism. It interprets the ways identity-policy-pholosophy-culture relations are defined through notions or how it is designed in accordance with the hegemonic concept. It is obvious that colonization played the role of a modifier in that period and Gramsci and Foucaul’s analysis is expressed as a basic access point in the discussions on construction of a new community. The feature that draws attention first is that the fact educationist intellectuals refered to the ideological views focused on Russia was set on Euro-centralism formulations which occupied the back place. The other goal of the article is to highlight M.F. Akhundov’s political-philosophical writings, his ideas on language, education-culture and contribution to forming new hegemonic contexs in Azerbaijan. Akhundov’s critical approaches to Islam and Islamic morals draw attention as an ideological discourse. Through this activity, M.F. Akhundov confered benefits on Orientalism disipline and, obviously, mastered hegemonic features stemming from colonization policy in Russia as well and tended to study euro-centralism
