FACTORS AFFECTING PUBLIC PERCEPTION ORIENTED TO SUPPORT TOURISM DEVELOPMENT IN TERMS OF BEHAVIORAL SCIENCES: AKCAKOCA SAMPLE

The attitudes and perceptions of the local people to support the development of tourism are among the issues considered in the study of tourism development in a particular area.Therefore, the aim of this study was to determine the factors affecting the perception of the local people to support the development of tourism. For this purpose, 401 people from the local population living in Akcakoca district of Duzce province were applied a survey technique and the data was subjected to structural equation modeling. According to the results of the analysis; it was determined that the economic, cultural and environmental impact of tourism had a significant and positive effect on the perception of local people to support tourism development.
