Employment Oriented Accounting Education in Vocational Schools

Vocational schools are aimed at the training of certain professions by cultivating the main purpose qualified human power. Within the scope of this aim, it is aimed to educate the qualified human power who has sufficient knowledge in the sector and can fulfill the requirements of his profession. Turkey is located in 97 university affiliated programs 264 vocational colleges in Accounting and Taxation. Ten of these programs are at Foundation universities. Regional distribution shows that 32 in Eastern Anatolia, 27 in Southeastern Anatolia, 49 in Aegean Region, 36 in Central Anatolia Region, 35 in Mediterranean Region, 44 in Blacksea Region and 41 in Marmara Region affiliated Accounting and Tax Practices program. In this study, job advertisements aimed at alumni accounting graduate programs offered in "kariyer.net" and "yenibiris.com" sites that publish job advertisements via internet will be examined by content analysis method and employment graduated profile will be searched. Employment-oriented accounting education will be evaluated by comparing the graduation profile obtained from the research results with the accounting education given in the associate's accounting programs of the universities.
