Evaluation of Aging Process in the Scope of Psychological Perspective of Viktor Frankl ABSTRACT

Psychiatrist Viktor Frankl did not assume a specific goal of providing scientific and systematic contributions to the field of old age. However, in his scientific studies, he made significant contributions directly or indirectly to the field of aging and showed an original point of view. This paper aims to explain and evaluate Frankl's perspective on the aging process in a holistic way. This need for holiness is due to the fact that Frankl's view of aging is scattered in his published works. Therefore, this article was mainly conducted on Frankl's primary source works. A qualitative study was carried out through the content review, and the discussions and evaluations were predicted to provide theoretical contributions. As a result of the examinations; The findings of old-age subjects were reached in terms of past plunge, meaning-seeking orientation, freedom of attitude determination, optimistic look to the past, transfer of the experiences to permanence, and responsibilities undertaken. As a result, Frankl's point of view on the subjects based on the individual-time relationship such as retirement, unemployment and leisure time syndrome has been put forward to the attention of the reader
