A NEW SERVICE STRATEGY FOR TURKEY’S PRIVATE SECURITY SECTOR

This study is about discipline of security. It includes an analysis of Turkey’s private security service. In the study, security literature, a semi-structured interview datas and press-media reflected news have been used as a qualifying source. These sources consist of private security problems, complaints of private security components (officer-manager-employer) and citizen’s attitudes. The purpose of the study is to share the origin point of problematic headers in the private security service. These heads are the role of the private security in internal security, capital and wage perception, non-professional employment approach, sector’s ineffectiveness role against terrorism, variety of education and application variety, disciplinary issue and insufficiency of control system. As a consequencel, this text tries to develop a new strategic approach on private security sector in conjunction with these perspective and determinations
