Abstract: Towards the end of 19-th century, Darfur region became the target of invasion by imperialist powers, France and England. Governed Sudan by Mahdi's forces resulted a relief for a period of time in Darfur. However, distressed days began for Darfur after the invasion of Sudan by England in 1898.After the Battle of Omdurman, Ali Dinar returned to Darfur, and then he, establishing sultanate, struggled to get order. In order to be independent, he refused some desires of Britain which wanted to occupy Darfur. He sent to Mahmil to the Hijaz to get connection with the Ottoman administration. Later period, he requested flag to get under the Ottoman rule. After the declaration of Jihad at the beginning of the First World War, he participated Jihad with the Ottoman State. Because of the lack of means, he was defeated and his sultanate was occupied
