EVALUATION OF POLITICAL ECONOMIC APPLICATIONS IN TERMS OF SUSTAINABILITY OF ACCOUNTING PROFESSION

The purpose of this study is to examine and evaluate the changes that the political economic applications applied by the government have brought about in the sustainability of accounting profession. In the study, firstly, the concept of political economy which is more important in recent years is mentioned and in the application part, in political economic practices, practices that affect the profession in terms of sustainability of the accounting profession are presented. In line with the purpose of this study, the academic studies in which the opportunities and the problems faced by the members of the accounting professions are revealed, are examined in terms of the reflections of the government's policies. It the last part of the research, the problems related to the political economic applications which affect the sustainability of the accounting profession are discussed and the solution proposals are presented. As a result of the assessment of all political economic practices identified in terms of the sustainability of the professional activities of professional accountants; according to the results of the research, it is seen that political economic factors are gathered under two headings which are opposite to each other. These are; motivating factors that motivate the accounting professionals in general and factors that cause accounting professions to almost throw up their jobs
