ASSESSMENT IN TERMS OF COST AND STRUCTURAL SAFETY OF STRENGTHENING IN MASONRY STRUCTURESKeywords: Y??ma yap?lar,Gü?lendirme,Duvarlar Abstract: In recent years, masonry structures have lost their popularity in practice and left their place in steel-, RC- or complex structures. It is known that the possibilities of strengthening works are limited according to other building types and that it is not possible to apply conventional methods when it is necessary to be repaired or strengthened due to some reasons, which is built from previous periods and partly due to the structural safety level that should be possessed over time. In some applications, the analyses reveals that the materials and methods that are not parallel to the original structure of the structure lead to a repair or strengthening applications, resulting in a more negative level than the current structural state. In the strengthening of masonry structures, the fact that steel or RC members adversely affect the load-bearing system, the structural members cause additional loads in the plan or direction where the structural members are weak, as well as the chemical reactions occurring over time cause deterioration, deformation and loss of strength of the original material, the elements are not preferred. In this case, the materials compatible with the original material of the structures and the cross-sectional increase of the vertical members.
