Determination Of The Biodiesel Potential and Glycerol Quantity Obtained From Waste Oil

Increasing energy demand and, consequently, increasing fossil fuel reserves are increasing interest in renewable energy sources. Energy, like all over the world, is also an important problem in our country. Today, the rapid depletion of fossil fuels and the increased damage they cause to the environment threaten the lives of future generations to a great extent. For this reason, it is inevitable to turn to alternative energy sources. One of the most important alternative energy sources in our country is biodiesel. In this study; methods of biodiesel production from used waste oils, properties and usability of fuel produced by this method are examined. Also; depened on the amount of waste oil used in our country, the amount of biodiesel that can be produced is calculated, the amount of waste sludge to be formed in this process is determined and the amount of glycerol obtained is calculated
