Abstract:

This study aims at presenting a different point of view to consider the longitudinal and cross sectional studies in organizational behavior field. When cross sectional studies in organizational behavior field are examined to investigate the relations, questionnaires are distributed with reliable and valid scales to the samples chosen with different methods, detailed analyses are doneand hypotheses are tested. In this study, longitudinal data are gathered instead of cross sectional data. An experimental group is formed; a survey is given to this group in morning and evening sessions. In the survey, person-organization fit, job satisfaction, turnover intention and self-efficacy scales are included which are often used in the relevant literature. In the analyses, forecasting methods are used to forecast the time dependent patterns. The results indicate that these patterns differ from each other and forecasting models can be used for these types of patterns
