Nursing Care According to Functional Health Patterns of Diabetic Foot Flap-Graft Repair: Case Report

Abstract:

According to statistics in the world, about 3 to 4 percent of diabetic individuals have diabetic foot ulcers or deep infections. 15% of these individuals are exposed to diabetic foot ulcer development throughout their lifetime. Considering the diabetic foot for restructuring, a lot of problems that necessary to be addressed. These issues can be approached with a multidisciplinary approach. The first step is to control the systemic direction of diabetes. Malnutrition, chronic renal failure and hypertension are common in patients with diabetes. Special attention can be given to foot ulcers when the patient's systemic condition is optimized. Depending on the general condition of the patient; peripheral vascular condition; bone abnormality; wound depth, location and duration; chronic osteomy elitis involvement; and patient motivation can be treated by various surgical procedures. The use of skin graft sand fascicutaneous flaps and muscle flaps for there construction of the feet has been successfully applied. In this case, the patient's functional health patterns were evaluated with nursing care model and NANDA nursing diagnoses. The case is a defined process to be used for comprehensive and standardized data collection method sand for nurses to make a more comprehensive assessment in patient care and to apply the nursing process
