A Study to Accelerate the MLM Method used for the Simulation of Planar Transformers

The demand for high power density and low-cost power electronic circuits increases day by day. Planar transformers that can meet this demand have been drawing more attention recently. Long production duration of the prototypes and long design duration due to the necessity of performing some work to reduce the parasitic effects are the negative sides of the planar transformers. Modelling and simulation of planar transformers should be carefully carried out before the production for a successful application. One of the methods used for this purpose is the “Modular Multi Layer Method” (MLM).
