PERFORMANCE ANALYSIS WITH WASPAS METHOD IN ENERGY SECTOR

In this study, financial performance of energy companies traded in Stock Exchange Istanbul were analyzed using Entropy and Weighted Aggregated Sum Product Assessment (WASPAS) method. Firstly current ratio, treasury ratio, current and fixed asset turnover ratios, financial leverage ratio, asset, shareholders' equity and sales profitability ratios for firms were determined and calculated separately for 5 companies. As a result of the analysis conducted, the most successful company for 2016 and 2017 was Ayen Energy (AYEN). In addition, the relationship between firms' stock returns and financial performance rankings was investigated with Spearman rank correlation and no statistically significant relationship was found
