Syed Ahmad Khan’s Contributions to the Formation of the Pakistan IdeologyKeywords: Seyyid Ahmed Han,Pakistan ideolojisi,Müslüman Hindistan,?ki Ulus Teorisi,Ba??ms?zl?k Abstract: Syed Ahmad Khan, a leading reformer of Muslim India was born on 17 October 1817 in Delhi in India. He got his first education from Ulema. Then he recieved education in Urdu, Arabic and Parsian literature along with the Quran. After completing his higher education, Ahmad Khan became a officer in the East Indian Company in 1837. Then he worked as a judge for 21 years at various institutions. After the 1857 Independence War in India, Muslims lost their previous power and their proporties were impounded. ?n this caotic situation, Syed Ahmad Khan awakened the Muslims and set the goals for them to strengthen again. Syed Ahmad Khan’s theory of empowerment the Muslims was based on two themes that included co-operation with the British Goverment and modern education. According to Ahmad Khan, it was huge religious and cultural differences between Hindus and Muslims. Therefore he worked hardly to gain broad rights for Muslims and created two nation theory which became the basis of Pakistan ideology
