THE ROLE OF TRANSLATION IN THE CULTURAL INTERACTION OF VALUES

This paper focuses on how the Islamic thought, during its formation and maturation process, approaches to the cultures within the boundaries of its geography. The Islamic civilization has, from time to time, formed certain norms of approach for various socio-religious groups of varying characteristics within the area it has domination over. The protection of the Islamic culture and civilization became a historical mark in terms of such groups with very different characteristics and their values. Not only were such groups saved from disappearing and fatal damages, but also they were provided with communication and interaction possibilities in their favor by the environment of the Islamic culture. It is a significant historical experience for humanity that similar, different, conflicting, opposite, etc. characters could ensure continuity and sustainability in the environment of the Islamic culture. It is also important from the perspective of the history of Islamic culture and Islamic thought that their own cultural assets and intellectual experiences could have an influence in the environment of an umbrella culture
