Marxism and Philosophy of Language: A Reviev With Psychological Perspective

Volosinov’s, Marxizm and The Philosophy of Langugae is discussed within this review in terms of his critical approach towards psychology. With his text, Volosinov, offer a critic not only for Marxist philosophy of language, but also for modern psychology of his era. His critisim towards positivist psychology overlaps with the critisim of discursive psyhology. These critisims are reviewed under the conscious, liguistic ontology, context and discourse titles. It is argued that Volosinov’s ideas regarding philosophy of language layed the theoretical groundwork for social constructivism and critical discursive psychology to stand on in the coming years
