HIGHER EDUCATION PROBLEMS OF SYRIAN REFUGEES IN TURKEY ADIYAMAN UNIVERSITY SAMPLEKeywords: G??,Suriyeli ??renciler,yüksek??retim Abstract: Ministry of Interior Directorate General of Migration Management stated that the total number of Syrian refugees in Turkey has reached to 3.632.622 as of January 17, 2019. 1.970.837 of these people are composed of men, and 1.661.785 are women and these numbers indicate that there are 309.052 more men than women. The number of Syrian refugees at the age of higher education (19-24) is stated to be 534.248. The Republic of Turkey has taken important steps to provide education opportunities for Syrian students in the higher education. In this study, it is aimed to find out higher education problems of Syrian students who have immigrated to Turkey and have been studying at Ad?yaman University and suggest solutions to these problems. The study is designed as a qualitative case study and Syrian students studying at Ad?yaman University are sampled for the study. The findings of the study are analyzed with descriptive analysis technique. The findings of the study indicate that Syrian students have difficulties in expressing themselves to their friends, teachers and other agents. Also it is found out that the teachers’ speeches are fast, the time allowed for the exams are not enough and the questions are not very clear for the Syrian students
