The Precariat Sociology: The Case of Substitute Teachers

This research was carried out in order to examine the situation of the paid teachers according to the sociology of precarnation. Prekarya is a sociology of post-capitalism that aims to identify a growing precarious mass in the world. In the context of this sociological imagination interviews were conducted with teachers who worked in Mus as paid teachers in 2017-2018 education year. In the study, an in-depth interview technique, which is a qualitative research method, was used. In the study, it was seen that paid teachers are not satisfied with their wages and personal rights, they are worried about their future, they have a low commitment to the profession and they feel very precariously insecure.
