Researches on the control methods of root knot nematodes (Meloidogyne spp.) in greenhouse organic tomato productionKeywords: Meloidogyne spp.,Brassica olerace var. italica,Tagetes erecta,Ricinus communis,a??lama, solarizasyon, organik tar?m Abstract: This study was conducted during 2007–2008 in greenhouse conditions according to complete randomized block design with four replicates and six characters in the organic agriculture greenhouses of Agricultural Faculty, Ege University. The main material of experiment consisted of the individuals of root–knot nematode (Meloidogyne spp.) at different age found in the soils from the organic agriculture greenhouses, tomato plants of G?k?e cv grafted on Beaufort or nongrafted, the leaves and fruits of Ricinus communis L. (Euphorbiaceae) (castor oil plant), whole plants of Brassica olerace var. italica L. (Cruciferae) (broccoli) and Tagetes erecta L. (Asteraceae) (American marigold) plants. The characters consisted of the treatment of the plant parts as thought with nematicidal effects of mentioned above, soil solarization treatments, the using of grafting seedlings known as resistant against to root–knot nematodes and positive control with nematode. According to the findings obtained this experiment, it was determined that the all plant material treatments (castor oil plant, American marigold and grafting seedlings) have less gall index value and placed statistically (P?0.05) in different group compared with positive control. The least gall index value was determined in the characters of grafting seedlings in terms of gall index (1.90±0.19) and evaluated as the most effective treatment. Besides this, in the evaluation done at the end of this experiment in terms of the numbers of second stage juvenile of root–knot nematodes in the soil, there were less numbers of second stage juvenile of root–knot nematodes in the soils of grafting seedlings and castor oil, broccoli plants characters and placed statistically (P?0.05) in different group compared with positive control treatment
