ANALYSIS OF MORAL DISCOURSE IN NAMIK KEMAL’S NOVEL ？NT？BAH

The main aim of this article is to analyze of moral discourse in Nam？k Kemal’s novel ？ntibah via John B. Thompson’s modes of operation of ideology. Thompson proposes to analyze ideology over concrete data in his work Ideology And Modern Culture. When we think about Turkish Literature, novels written in the Tanzimat period seem practicable to make use Thompson’s modes of operation of ideology, because the writers of the Tanzimat period undertook the mission to educate the society. The particular reason for choosing this novel is, observation of embodiment of moral discourse by the “good” and the “bad” characters.
