A CASE STUDY ON RATIO ANALYSIS: AN EXAMPLE OF PUBLIC INSTITUTION FROM TRNC

In this study, a ratio analysis is performed on the Cyprus Turkish Electricity Authority (KIB-TEK) operating monopolistically in the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC). This study has revealed that the Authority is technically bankrupt and that with its low liquidity, unsatisfactory activity ratios, fragile and unhealthy leverage ratio and a very low profitability ratio (due to high costs and operational expenses), it does not financially have a healthy and a sustainable structure
