Migration And Elderliness In The Sense Of Health

Accessing opportunities to health facilities and services, opportunities and social and health security system in migrated country are vital for immigrant individuals as they grow old. Besides, different level mental and physical disadvantages effects as older people migrate to the other countries. The perspective of countries on elderly people could determine the obtained share of elderly people from health and social security system and the limitation of this share. When considered from this point of view, Andersen’s classification of welfare state could present a perspective on commodification of elderly people through social assistances and health care services. This study is considered as a contribution to the literature as a review in the light of Andersen’s classification of welfare state by integrating the concepts of migration, health and elderliness with multicultural health services and special needs of elderly people
