The Biology of Black Scorpion Fish (Scorpaena porcus Linnaeus, 1758) in the Black Sea (Samsun, Ordu, Giresun)Keywords: iskorpit,boy-a??rl?k ili?kisi,Karadeniz Abstract: In this study, in order to determine the biological parameters of scorpion fish (Scorpaena porcus), individuals of 411 scorpion fish which were collected from Black Sea coast, in Samsun, Ordu, Giresun region between March 2016 and February 2017 were investigated. The average size of the sampled individuals was determined as 12.79±0.14 cm (min 6.2, max 24.0 cm) and the mean weight was 46.45±1.72 g (min 4.10 g, max 235.12 g). The length-weight relationship for spring, summer, autumn, winter and all months was found as W=0.02L2.9781, W= 0.026L2.8819, W=0.0134L3.1713, W=0.0196L3.0034, W=0.0217L2.9548 . Von Bertalanffy growing equations of all samples were determined as Lt=57.43[1-e -0.063(t+1.807)] and, Phi-prime index was determined 2.32. The average condition factor is calculated as 1.98, nutritional composition is 27.28% Crustacea, 6.36% fish and 66.36% undefined creatures. Highest GSI value was calculated in summer (max in July 3.61±0.68), and the lowest value was calculated in autumn (min in November 0.46±0.10
