The Relationship Between Goal Orientations and Life Satisfaction in Veteran Badminton PlayersKeywords: Hedef y?nelimi,G?rev y?nelimli hedefler,Ego y?nelimli hedefler,Badminton,Ya?am Doyumu Abstract: The aim of this study was to determine the life satisfaction with the target orientations of veteran badminton players; to determine the differences between age, sports age and sex variables; to examine the relationship between target orientations and life satisfaction. Sample group of the study was consisted of 140 athletes (51 female athletes and 89 male athletes) who joined Turkish Veterans Championship during 2016-2017 season. In the study, “Life Satisfaction Scale” was used to determine life satisfaction levels, “Task and Ego Orientation Scale in Sport” was used to determine target orientation. For the analyses of the data; Kruskal Wallis test, Mann Whitney U test,and Spearman correlation analysis were employed. According to the analysis results; It was determined that the veteran badminton players ego orientation dimension from goal orientation had a significant difference between the sex, age and also sport age variables and between task orientation dimension and sex variable. Also, there was a significant difference only between task orientation dimension and sex variable. It was also found that there was a positive relationship between life satisfaction levels of veteran badminton players and task orientation, and no relationship between life satisfaction levels and ego orientation. As a result; As the veteran badmintonist's goal orientations increased, the life satisfaction increased and as the task orientation decreased, the life satisfaction decreased
