Investigation of University Students' Leisure Obstacles (Example of Bartin Province)

It is not possible to participate in the leisure activities, which have an important place in the lives of individuals at every opportunity, and there are some obstacles to individuals. In this study, it is aimed to investigate the obstacles faced by the students in higher education institutions in Bart？n in their participation in recreational activities in terms of certain demographic variables. The “Leisure Barriers Scale“ was used to determine the leisure time barriers of university students. Data were collected from 122 (34.7%) female and 230 (65.3%) male, 352 university students selected by easy sampling method. Kolmogorov-Smirnov normality test was performed to see the normal distribution of the data. The data were found to be in accordance with parametric test conditions. Independent samples t-test and one-way ANOVA tests were used for significant differences. As a result, no statistically significant difference was found the variables of Class level, Age, Prosperity level, Leisure evaluation difficulty, University recreation areas adequacy (p> .05). Significant differences were found between Facility / Service, Time, Lack of Interest and total score means of the gender variable and Facility / Service, Time sub-dimensions of the Department variable (p <.05)
