EVALUATION OF INCOME DISTRIBUTION INEQUALITY IN THE CONTEXT OF GENDER

Poverty, one of the most important social problems we face, continues today as it was in the past. It is a global social problem not only in undeveloped and underdeveloped countries but also in developed countries. The concept of social welfare state, which started to be abandoned in the 1980s in the historical process, has left its place in neo-liberal thought. The development of policies with this point of view has led to the inequality of income at the national and international level, and the gap in technological developments. It can be said that these developments made poverty more visible. Income distribution inequality, one of the causes of poverty in this work, will be assessed in terms of gender in interpersonal dimensions. The intensifiers of income distribution based on social sex will be examined. In addition, the situation in Turkey and the world will attempt to demonstrate with statistical data to date. Finally, suggestions for reducing and eliminating the inequality of interpersonal income based on gender will be given
