Abdullah Bosnevi and His Tafsir Treaties

This article is about one of the pioneer scholars of Ottoman era, Abdullah Bosnevi and his tafsir studies. The scholar who is from Bosnia spent most of his life in Anatolia, especially in Istanbul and Konya. He stood out in the field of sufism. On the other hand, he is the author of various Quranic sura and ayat tafsirs. The main focus of our article is his tafsirs. Depending on the condition of tafsir, the works are either elaborated on or mentioned briefly. We avoided going into detail with all tafsirs since it would exceed the standard length of an article. Our primary goal is to introduce Bosnevi’s treaties written on tafsir. Besides, the article features some brief information on his life, approach to sufism and tafsir methodology. Because of the fact that his tafsirs are written with his sufi tendencies, we briefed on Ishari tafsir tradition as well
