PLAY IN ACCORDING TO PARENTS AND CHILDREN'S VIEWSKeywords: Oyun,?ocuk,anne-baba,akranlar Abstract: The purpose of this study is to make an intercultural comparison of various variables related to play in accordance with the opinions of the preschool children and their fathers and mothers whose living in Turkey (TC) and Turkish Republic of North Cyprus (TRNC). One of the participants of the research is the group of 50 children (28 girls and 22 boys) whose 5 years old of 50 children (28 girls and 22 boys) their mothers (50 mothers) and their fathers (50 fathers) from the center of Denizli province Merkezefendi and Pamukkale districts. The other study group is from TRNC Nicosia. This group include group of 35 children (21 girls and 14 boys) whose 5 years old, their mothers (35 mothers) and their fathers (35 mothers). The children of the two groups continue their pre-school education. In this study, an interview form which was developed for this study and entitled Child and Game (child, mother, father forms) as the data collection tool. The findings of the researcher reveal how the children play games with their parents and their peers and what their favorite toys and games are. The findings show the resemblence between the view of parents and of the children on the kinds and frequency of games they prefer playing together. The invitation to play games is another issue showing similarities. The results are evaluated as additional findings to support the universality of the game for the preschoolers
