INFERTILITY CASES IN PULMONARY MEDICINE DEPARTMENTS

Herein, we present two cases of infertility who were evaluated by urologists and gynecologists. The first case was a 33-year-old man with recurrent sinusitis and bronchiectasis since 10 years old, and he was evaluated by an urologist due to infertility. He had cough, wheeze, and sputum. On his physical examination, bilateral crackles and rhonchi were detected. Bilateral diffuse bronchiectasis and hyperinflation were seen at thoracic tomography, and changes consistent with chronic sinusitis were shown on paranasal sinus tomography. He was treated with azithromycin, inhaled tobramycin, and dornase-alpha. His complaints improved and no bacterium was detected in the sputum culture. Our second case was a 28-year-old woman. Granulomatous salpingitis was identified in the histopathological examination of the excised hidropic left tuba. She had night sweats and pelvic pain. Bilateral fibrotic apical parenchymal changes were seen in thoracic tomography. Genital tuberculosis was diagnosed, and she received antituberculosis treatment. At two months, night sweat and groin pain resolved
