The Factors Affecting The Holiday Preferences Of The Academician: The Example Of Afyon Kocatepe University

The main aim of this article is to uncover and determine preferences of the vacations of academicians who are working at Afyon Kocatepe University. In order to determine that, there is a survey which is made in November-December 2016 by academicians at Afyon Kocatepe University. University academicians working in simple random samples with 170 questionnaires were distributed, 157 of them approved for survey because 13 of them didn’t go for vacation. It is all observed that the participants of the holiday period in summer months, prefer all-inclusive system as the type of accommodation in the hotel as for accommodations, they choose seaside-resorts. The main reason of vacation is to relax and they use internet for source of vacations. Their preferences on holidays are hygiene, cleanliness, quality of service, the physical properties of plant, the area's natural beauty and the security which have all been shown as primary factors in the existence of historical and cultural attractions
