THE EFECTS OF MIDWIFERY APPROACH TO THE ALLEVIATIVE ANXIETY LEVEL OF WOMEN COMING PELVIC EXAMINATIONKeywords: Pelvik muayene,anksiyete,ebe,kad?n,ebelik yakla??m? Abstract: Aim: This study is aimed to determine the level of anxiety and the effect of the supportive midwifery approach on the level of anxiety in women who first came to pelvic examination. Material And Methods: The cross-sectional study is applied to 200 women. As the data collection tools it is used a form including questions for identification of women and determining the causes of pelvic examination, anxiety scale to detect and evaluate symptoms of anxiety and forms of continuous anxiety scale. Significance testing of couples and t-test were used for the evaluation of data. Statistically P <0.05 was considered significant. Results: According to research results, it is stated that women have experienced high levels of anxiety during pelvic examination. It is determined that women experienced more anxiety after the examination relatively than before the examination. It was designated that the group with midwifery approach experienced less anxiety than the group without treatment. Conclusion: It has been pointed that the variables such state of education of women, their age, knowledge about pelvic examination or gender of the examiner and their working status don’t affect anxiety levels. In the research, suggestions are made for these results
