Sultan Zawiya or Lazaretto for Lepers was in Bordaba?? Quarter in Konya. The benefactor of the dervish lodge built in the period of Alaeddin Keykubat I was probably S?r?al? Sultan. Alaeddin Keykubat I established various waqfs too. Even though the word “s?r?a” means tile, there are examples that it can also be used as a name for persons and places. The lodge was a waqf where lepers were isolated from Konya and its neighborhood. The people living in lazaret subsisted on the help of public apart from the source of income of the waqf. This study investigates the status of lepers in social life as well as the diagnosis and treatment of leprosy and the staff working in the waqf. The social life of those who were located in Lazaretto continued. The facts that the court cases involving lepers were conducted by qadi, imams were charged for them to make their worship, women could apply for divorcing their leper husband or lepers having children show that they continued their social life in many respect even though they were isolated in lazaret. It was, however, restricted for the lepers to get in touch with healthy people in the community
