Event-Relaled Potentials (ERPs)Keywords: olay ili?kili potansiyeller,elektroensefalografi,O?P,EEG,P60,N100,P200,N200,P300 Abstract: In this review, the history of event-related potentials, its description and its components with neural sources, and some psychophysiological research and clinical examples are described. Event-related potentials (ERPs), which are the whole electrical discharges of neural populations, started by observing negative potentials in the central nervous system as a result of Caton’s stimulation of experimental animals in 1875 with sensory stimuli, today’s computerized electroencephalography / event-related potential recorders and advanced analysis methods have been used frequently in many psychophysiological research that shed light on brain functions and early diagnosis and treatment of neurological and psychiatric diseases. It can be used as an adjunct to early treatment of other central nervous system diseases, except for neurological and psychiatric diseases, which cannot be observed by examination, and for taking treatment to prevent progression
