Journal of Uludag University Medical Faculty from Past to Today

Scientific publications have been published in the 17th century in the west, but the first scientific journal in our country was published in the 19th century. The journalism concept that developed over time has inducted the publications of various institutions / organizations. Over time, the journals in the medical faculties of universities have begun to increase. Bursa Uludag University Faculty of Medicine Journal has an important place among medical faculty magazines in terms of continuing without going through the field since the first year it was published. A total of 44 volumes, 141 articles and 1614 articles have been reached between the years 1974-2018. In these 1614 articles, “medical history, medical ethics, medical deontology” fields were examined and a total of 17 articles of these fields were reached in the archive of 44 years. It has been examined whether there has been an increase in the areas handled in the present day from the first publication of the magazine. As a result of the studies carried out it is considered that there is not an intense increase in the fields covered in the archive of the magazine due to the reasons such as “the promotion policy of international scientific publications” and “the policy of international publication in academic assignments and upgrades” applied today
