Abdals as Poor People Working in Turkey: A Research in K？r？ehir

Nowadays, the problem of poverty, which has a global dimension, threatens not only the unemployed but also the working people. This situation, which is called poverty of working people, is one of the important problems in Turkey as it is in the whole world. This study aimed to investigate working poverty in K？r？ehir province in terms of cultural heritage bearer Abdals. For this purpose, interviews were held with 22 local artists living and working in K？rsehir. At the end of the study; Despite their work, it was revealed that they were poor and they felt themselves to be poor. It is seen that the total income of the family is very low, that the Abdals are working poor due to the lack of regular and continuous, the lack of basic necessities and the livelihoods.
