Level of intimate partner violence among nursing faculty studentsKeywords: ?iftler aras? ?iddet,Romantik ili?kiler,?iddet e?ilimi,üniversite ??rencileri Abstract: Aim: This research was planned to determine the level of acceptance of the romantic intimacy of nursing faculty students and the influencing factors. Method: The study was conducted as a cross-sectional and descriptive study between 322 nursing faculty students studying at a state university in Istanbul between 16-27 February 2015. The data were collected with the "Personal Information Form", "Acceptance of Couple Violence Scale (ACVS)". In evaluating the data; number, percentage, averages, Mann Whitney U test were used. Results: The mean age of the students who participated in the survey was found to be 20.21 ± 1.62. It was determined that 92.5% of the students were girls, 32.6% were in the 3rd class, 50.6% were born in the Marmara and 47.2% were living in the city. It was found that 94.4% of the students had one or more siblings and 40.7% of them had violence against their siblings. The mean score they received from ACVS was 13.75 ± 4.94. Comparing the personal characteristics of the students with the levels of acceptance of violence between couples, male students were significantly higher than female students (p <0.05), compared to those who did not apply violence to their siblings and those who did not. Conclusion: The level of acceptance of romantic close relationship violence among males, siblings, related violence and violence practitioners was high
