Abstract:

Students are faced with the first formal music education in the primary school, which is the most important step of the organized education system arranged for the students who have just started their education life to gain basic education and to continue their social life and education life successfully. Many other lessons as well as music lessons in primary schools, linked to the state, is conducted by class teachers. Therefore, the role of classroom teachers is enormous in ensuring that students acquire music love. In this respect, it is considered that classroom teachers have a great responsibility for music education they have taken during their undergraduate education.This study is limited to music education programs of department of classroom teachers of three major universities in Ankara in 2017-2018 academic year. In the study, examining the course contents of these departments, the current status of the music course in the program is determined and is compared whether it differs according to the universities
