Qualitative Study on the Effects of Game Addiction on University Students

It was aimed to examine determining the social support perception of mothers with children who have hearing impaired-speech and language disorder. The research is one conducted in descriptive survey model. Mothers living in Ankara whose children have hearing impairment-speech and language disorders make up the population at the research. 152 mothers from two special education and rehabilitation centers which give special education in the field of hearing impairment-speech and language disorders department in Ankara make up the sample at the research. The data has been gathered by the “YASD？” by the Kaner (2010) and General Information Form developed by the researcher. Percentage, median, Kolmogrov-Smirnov, Student t, One Way ANOVA, Bonferroni Tests have been used in the assessment at the data. In the study, social support scores of university graduates, mothers with a minimum wage, middle socioeconomic status, male child and one child were found to be significantly higher (p<0.05). It was determined that care support scores of the mothers surveyed were lower than social support, emotional and information support scores. In result of research, suggestions to researchers, families, have been offered to improve the perceived social support levels of mothers
