Tu?rul,Cihan Pehlivan Abstract: As such in other Turk-Islamic states, Seljuks were also extremely sensitive to the marriage of dynastic members and prominent statesmen with regard to the protection of political balances. The marriages enabled the parties to ally and strengthen, and these political alliances served to prevent possible conflicts that could arise. In the last period of the Iraq Seljuk Empire, Inanc Khātūn emerges as a very powerful and remarkable name with the political marriages she made when she was not a member of the dynasty. After marriage with Jahān Pahlavān, Atabak of Azarbaijan, Inanc Khātūn, campainged to bring her sons to higher positions with her responsibility of maternity; she got married in order to perform political activities and lost her life for this purpose
