The Use of Cinema as a Propaganda Tool: Soy Cuba MovieKeywords: Sinema,Propaganda,Film,?leti?im,Küba Abstract: Worldwide, propaganda is expressed as all of the actions which aim to guide, persuade and manipulate societies. In line with this purpose, all of the mass communication tools used are seen as a source of propaganda. With the increase of communication among the masses, dominant powers’ desire to lead and manage has caused the emergence of different types of propaganda. Within this context, cinema, which appeals to masses and attracts attention among people as a means of fun, has continued to be used for ideological and political benefits or aims since the first day of its realization by dominant powers. Especially with the increase in globalization after war periods in which different propaganda techniques are applied, cultural propaganda can also be seen in addition to military and political propaganda. In our study, the aforementioned propaganda techniques will be analyzed, and in order to understand the effect of propaganda on cinema, three great periods will be discussed that are Soviet Russia, Hitler’s Nazi Germany and Hollywood Cinema within the historical process. In parallel with this, Soy Cuba which is a propaganda film, will be analyzed
