Music is one of the indispensable parts of human life. For this reason, music education is very important in the education process of the individual. There are effective music education methods and techniques all over the world for a qualified music education. Suzuki Method which is one of these methods takes a wide and effective place with its application area and scope. As it is at every stage of education, family is at least important as teacher and student in music education. In the study, the emergence and philosophy of the Suzuki method is addressed, and the place and prominence of the family as the most important step of the method is explained.
