Morphological Variation of Seedling and Seed Characteristics in Taurus Flowering AshKeywords: Boy,?ap,fidan,Fraxinus, genetik, morfoloji, tohum Abstract: In this study, survival, stem, growth performance and seed characteristics were examined to estimate variation, heritability and correlation among endemic Taurus Flowering ash (Fraxinus ornus L. subsp. cilicica) families based on progeny trial at seventh year’s result. Averages of seedling height, diameter, survival and number of branches were 187.5 cm, 31.6 mm, 14.7 and 69.2%, respectively. 52.8% of the seedlings had no any problem for stem and crown. Averages of number of seeds, seed weight, seed length and seed width were 636, 2.2 g, 24.3 mm and 4 mm, respectively. Significant differences (p≤0.05) were found among families for seedling height, root collar diameter, seed lenth and seed width among the families according to results of analysis of variance. The heritability in narrow-sense (hi2) reflects the share of the variation that depends on the genotypes was close to zero. Significant phenotypic correlations (p≤ 0.05) were found between branch number and root collar diameter, and between seed lenth and root collar diameter
