The Effects of Pregnancy Training on The Levels of Anxiety and Depression of the Mother and FatherKeywords: Anne ve baba,gebe e?itimi Abstract: The aim of the study was to determine the anxiety and depression levels of the expectant mother and father in the pregnancy period and to determine the effects of pregnancy education on those levels. It was carried out 302 participants after the necessary permission was taken. In the training group; 50 pregnant women and their husbands were made to fill in the “Pregnant Information Form, Beck Anxiety Scale and Beck Depression Scale”. The Scales were given again to those couples who were in their Postpartum Day 1. The control group consisted of 101 couples. The Beck Anxiety scale point average of the women in the training group before the training was 17.20±10.49, the average of the same test was 14.61±10.26 for the women in the control group, and no statistically significant differences between them were detected; however, in the training group, the scale point in the Postpartum Day 1 showed a decrease with a point of 7.86±10.85. The Beck Depression scale point average of the women in the training group before the training was 14.14±6.92, the average of the same test was 10.56±10.47 for the women in the control group, and a statistically significant difference between them was detected; the scale point in the Postpartum Day 1 in the training group showed a decrease when compared to pre-training period with a score of 3.08±5.81. The pregnancy period, it is important in the pregnancy training sessions which will provide positive results on their anxiety and depression levels
