STATISTICS OF A POETICS: TO RETHINK SABAHATTIN ALI'S POEMS IN THE LIGHT OF WORDS

As for Sabahattin Ali's narratives, many works have been written on his poems from the past to the present and the sources, formal characteristics and themes of these poems have been tried to be determined from different perspectives. When we evaluate these works together, it is possible to reach a holistic and detailed picture of Sabahattin Ali's poetics. Our aim in this article is; to question whether this painting can be reconstructed from the word groups of Sabahattin Ali's poems and to reveal some details. The methodological perspective that we will use in such an effort will naturally be taken from statistical criticism. Statistical criticism led by researchers such as Pierre Guriaud, Max Bense and Wilhelm Fucks; as is known or will be anticipated, structuralism precedes a work-centered perspective, such as new criticism. Therefore, em parenthesis ？r of subjective interpretations and opening the door to objective interpretations in the context of linguistic elements constitute the main aspects of this criticism. In line with the criticism, Sabahattin Ali's poems will appear in the most common word groups. We will also use the BYU Concordance program to identify these groups of words. However, it should be noted that; here, we will not settle for only words. We will endeavor to subject them to a poetic reading in various ways.
