CAUSALITY RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN EXPEND？TURE COMPONENTS AND SECTORAL EMPLOYMENT

One of the important issues in defining the policies of employment is to analyze the complex relations between economics and labor markets in a detailed manner. In this study, it is aimed to evaluate the causality relationship between the expenditure components within the GDP (private consumption, government expenditure, gross Stock Formation, export and import) and sectoral employment (agriculture, industry, construction and services) for Turkey which has a young population and manages with unemployment problem. In the analysis of the data from 2000Q1-2016Q4 by the Toda-Yamamoto method, it is identified that there is a causality relationship between some expenditure types and sectors. It is thought that these results contribute to the determining of employment policies
