Evaluation Of Erfelek State Hospital Home Care Services Unit

Abstract Object？ves: This study aimed to investigate the patients’ sociodemographic features, diagnoses,home health care service qualities and their relations with each other. Mater？als And Methods: Patients records of home health care services between 01/06/2017-01/06/2018 were assessed retrospectively. Statistical analysis was performedby examining Patients ages, genders, diagnoses and health service qualities. P <0.05 wasaccepted significant. Results: 114 patients were involved. The mean age was 72,85±16,90 and 49,1% ofthem were male. The most common diagnose was “orthopedic surgeries” (25,40%;n=29).41,2% of the patients were bed ridden and 13,2% of them had pressure ulcers. While 25,4%of the patients were examined, only 0,9% of them were prescribed. 62.28% of the patients were given urinary catheter, serum, injection and wound care services. Conclus？on: To increase the quality of home healthca-re services; it’s necessary to organize trainings for home careproviders and to make more studies about the home care ser-vices
