MODERN SOCIETY ONTOLOGICAL OUTPUT: PASSOLIG APPLICATIONKeywords: Biyopolitika g?zetim,güvenlik,Passolig Abstract: In this study, the Passolig Card, which has been introduced since 14 April 2014, has been examined in the context of surveillance society. The aim of the study is to discuss the Passolig application by deconstructing the traditional monolithic, centralized power structure and drawing the relationship between power and surveillance to the multi-centralized power plane while considering it as a surveillance tool for modern power. The originality of the study is that instead of taking the Passolig practice in a one-way critical context, it is assessed in the biopolitical nature –emphasizing reciprocal, spiral, and interacting nature rather than mechanical cause-effect relation– of the new term power(s). In line with this main objective, the historical change in power and society is emphasized and the relation between security and surveillance is highlighted. Thus, the structural link between the Passolig and contemporary society has been examined. In this context, the main framework of the study is Foucault's biopolitics and power analysis, and Hart and Negri's central understanding and surveillance society approaches. As a result, the Passolig is a modern state surveillance tool. However, this tool is not designed solely on the basis of the need for surveillance of the state/government, but rather as a response to its social demands and needs.
